The instrument can conduct the following research under simulated conditions of high temperature and high pressure in the formation:

(1) Research on improving oil recovery efficiency

1. Water drive system

a、 Evacuate saturated water analysis, determine pore volume and saturated water volume;

b、 Analysis of water phase permeability in pure water flooding;

c、 Oil saturation analysis, measuring bound water saturation and oil saturation;

d、 Oil phase permeability analysis, measuring the effective permeability of oil in the presence of bound water;

e、 EOR analysis of water drive;

f、 Analysis of water phase permeability after water flooding, i.e. determination of effective permeability when residual oil is present.

9. Measurement system

Pressure measurement: Pressure transmitter DG1300-BZ-B-Z-X/AA type, accuracy 0. 25% F · S, used for measuring the inlet pressure, outlet pressure, ring pressure, and back pressure of rock cores. All pressures are displayed on the WP-C901-20-17-P pressure data display, or can be collected by a computer through the RS232 port on the digital display.

To ensure the accuracy of pressure measurement, pressure transmitters with different ranges are used to measure the inlet and outlet pressures. The computer automatically controls the pneumatic valve to select transmitters with different ranges for measurement.

Temperature measurement: PT100 measuring probe is used, and XMTA-7512EX-R temperature controller is used to set, control, and measure temperature. The temperature can also be set and controlled by a computer.

Flow measurement: The liquid flow rate is calculated using the balance weighing method.

Oil water automatic metering system

10. Data collection system

Taiwan MOXAC168H/PCI and MOXAC104H/PCI data acquisition boards are used to timely collect pressure, temperature, flow rate, oil and water volume equivalents.

11. Automatic control system

Computers can control the following external devices:

(1) Injection pump: Through the communication interface of the pump, the computer can control the injection flow rate of the pump.

(2) Temperature: The heating temperature of the constant temperature box can be set and controlled by the computer through the RS232 interface on the temperature controller.

(3) Ring pressure pump tracking: The computer automatically controls the ring pressure pump to track the internal pressure through the PCI847 control board, maintaining a certain pressure difference between the displacement pressure and the ring pressure.

(4) Automatic range switching of pressure transmitter: The computer automatically controls the CV210 pneumatic valve through the PCI847 control board, and automatically selects pressure transmitters of different ranges for measurement according to the displacement pressure to ensure testing accuracy.

12. Application software system data processing

The software runs in the Windows 2000/XP environment and is programmed using VB. The workflow of the instrument is displayed on the interface, which enables human-machine dialogue. After the operator sets the parameters, it should be able to achieve unmanned operation. The computer can automatically collect all parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow rate, oil and water volume, and control the operation of the pump, automatic tracking of the ring pressure pump, and automatic switching of the pressure reversing valve.

The data collected by computers can be processed to generate raw data reports, analysis reports, and curve graphs, while also generating database file formats for users to use flexibly.

6、 Security

The safe operation of the instrument involves the personal safety of the operator and the normal service life of the instrument. The manufacturer reminds the operator to pay attention to the following points:

*All types of instruments and computers must ensure correct power input and be equipped with automatic voltage stabilization protection devices.

*Ensure that all parts of the instrument have good grounding.

*The pressure of each part of the process manifold should not exceed the design pressure, especially not exceed the range of various detection instruments. Extra caution must be taken when using gas pressurization.

*The valve design of the instrument is manual operation. Please pre design the test process according to the test steps. Any valve operation error may lead to the failure of the entire test.

*When operating the system at high temperatures, insulated gloves must be worn to prevent burns.

7、 Installation

All instruments have been installed and tested before leaving the factory. For the convenience of packaging and transportation, the instrument is divided into different parts for packaging. Please carefully refer to the flowchart during installation.

The installation work can also be jointly completed by the factory's technical personnel and the user, so that the user can further familiarize themselves with the instrument and facilitate daily maintenance in the future.

8、 Basic operations

1. Rock sample preparation

⑴. Drilling and cutting of rock samples: Drill the rock sample into cylindrical shapes with a diameter of 25 or 38, cut both ends flat, and ensure that the cutting surface is perpendicular to the axis.

Refer to SY/T5336 for the method of drilling rock samples

⑵. Wash oil for rock samples

The oil washing method shall be carried out in accordance with SY/T5336

⑶. Drying of rock samples

The drying temperature of the rock sample is controlled at 60-65 ℃, and the drying time is 24 hourshAfterwards, every 8hWeigh once, and the difference between the two weighings is less than 10mgRecord the measured quality of the rock sample.

⑷. Measure the geometric dimensions of the rock sample: length (L), diameter (D).

⑸. The determination of gas permeability in rock samples shall be carried out in accordance with SY/T5336.

(6) Extract saturated oil (water) from the rock sample, weigh it wet, and calculate the pore volume of the rock sample.

Soak the saturated rock sample in oil (water) and set it aside.

2. Process preparation

Ensure that the liquid in the storage container and various pumps is sufficient. If it is insufficient, please add it.

3. Installation of rock cores

Take out the pre saturated rock core from the beaker, place it in the clamp rubber sleeve, install the clamp plug, and tighten the rock sample.

4. Apply ring pressure to seal the rock sample

⑴. Manually apply ring pressure

Turn the manual and automatic switches on the control panel to the manual position, turn on the ring pressure pump switch, and when the pressure is increased to the required value, turn off the ring pressure pump switch.

⑵. Automatic ring pressure

Turn the manual and automatic switches on the control panel to the automatic position. In the computer experimental program, click the experiment start button, and the computer will automatically control the start and stop of the ring pressure pump, and track the displacement pressure to maintain the difference between the ring pressure and displacement pressure.

5. Heating up

First, turn on the fan switch of the constant temperature box on the panel, then turn on the heating switch. Set the temperature to be heated on the temperature controller, and the temperature controller will automatically control the constant temperature box to reach the desired temperature.

To stop heating, simply turn off the heating switch or set the temperature controller to below the ambient temperature.

6. Experimental evaluation

Various experimental methods are detailed in the industry standards for experimental evaluation.

9、 Maintenance

The parallel flow pump should be cleaned regularly, and for detailed maintenance, please refer to the manual of the parallel flow pump.

Electronic scales should avoid strong vibrations and must not be overloaded. For detailed precautions, please refer to the scale manual.

The computer equipped with this instrument is a dedicated control machine for the instrument. Do not copy software randomly, especially floppy disks of unknown origin. Computer viruses may cause confusion and errors in control and data acquisition.

All parts of the instrument that come into contact with liquids are made of stainless steel, which has a certain degree of corrosion resistance, but it is not a one-time solution. The process manifold needs to be cleaned regularly, especially after injecting acid or other highly corrosive liquids, it should be immediately cleaned with clean water. When the process is not in use for a long time, fill the process manifold with oil or blow dry it with high-pressure air to prevent rust and corrosion.

Long term use can cause normal damage to the process seals, affecting their sealing performance. Therefore, it is recommended to regularly conduct pressure tests on the instruments to ensure their integrity.Replace the seal for the leaked part, and for regular users, a cycle of 3 months is recommended.
